Award Winning Make Up Artist Sara Menitra
Beauty / Fantasy Finalist NY IMATS 2012

Based on London, available to work all over the world.

In April 2012, Sara was invited by Make-up Artist Magazine to be one of 8 international makeup artists to take part in their live competition at NY IMATS 2012.The competition had a time limit of only 2 hours to create a complete look from the theme animal kingdom.
In this time, she applied a bald cap, covered eyebrows, among many other technics to result in this beautiful work shown here. Entitled “Jellyfish”.

With the accolades and endorsements given to her from some of the great names of the make up industry present at NY IMATS, Sara moved from Lisbon to London. Ready to work hard, with the aim to work with the best and open opportunities that being part of this major Fashion & film centre brings.

“In my art I changed my canvas from paper to skin.”

With a degree in Graphic Design, Sara always held a fascination with the human body as an object of study and inspiration, attending to drawing, Illustration and Anatomy classes.

Attending these classes were part of her plan to fully understand the physiology of the human body, to develop techniques in Make-up, colour and mixed materials, in ways that would enable her to develop a fully integrated career as a fashion and makeup effects artist.

To reach the top of this profession, to become one of the “best” and a reference in the industry is her goal, and to this end Sara have been working and learning with the best international professionals.
