Set Fashion Free is seeking to expand its pool of freelance facilitators and invites applications from experienced fashion creatives with a passion for passing on knowledge to young people.
Set Fas
hion Free is a young, dynamic non-profit organisation with a special, although not exclusive, focus on young people from the African Diaspora. It is the place where they come to develop their creativity and entrepreneurial skills, whilst finding value in their culture and heritage and develop a positive sense of identity. Using fashion, heritage and enterprise within one programme we deliver a unique creative and inspirational experience that supports the development of young people’s life, work and social skills.
We are seeking facilitators with experience in fashion design, pattern cutting or garment construction. Applicants will preferably hold an enhanced CRB check dated within the last year (or be willing to apply for one). As the majority of our work is delivered via short programmes you will be contracted on a freelance basis for each project and must be registered as self-employed with a valid UTR number.
To apply please email Nicola Dillon at opportunities@setfashionfree.org.uk, sending your CV and a cover letter (maximum 1 side of A4) detailing your approach to working with young people, along with your experience, contact information for two referees (including email and telephone number), and general availability information. Please also mention anything else you feel would support your application.
Once we have reviewed your application we will get in touch with next steps.
