PARTNERS AND STRATEGIC ALLIANCES SOUGHT! FOR FASHION HISTORY WEBSITE!Sixties Supermodels on the Web
And so the beat goes on...Here we all are again, reminiscing together about our glorious era, whether we were the models, photographers, stylists or the readership who loved the look. These models were ourselves, our friends, our peers, our inspiration and our muses in that grand adventure, modeling in the Sixties. Even many of the models who had dozens of covers and were the toast of two continents in the Sixties have been mostly forgotten and unheard of by current generations.
It is our quest to restore these international beauties to their former places in the hearts and minds of the public. MiniMadMOD60s is a composed of group of dedicated volunteer editors who have made it their mission to find and post as many photographs of the top models of the Sixties as they can find.
Every picture here was sent in by an interested party. Sometimes it is the model herself, or a family member. At other times, photographers, editors, fans and stylists have sent us pictures of someone they would not want to see forgotten as we speed further into the Twenty-First Century.
Today if you are not on the web, you are not relevant to a large portion of society. We have made it our mission to make sure that not one of these classic images is forgotten. This entertaining website is for people interested in viewing, preserving and documenting the changes in fashion during the Sixties. After forty years of hiding virtually unseen and untouched in attics and trunks all over the world, many of the most beautiful fashion and beauty images have been brought to light.
The editors of this website try to re-identify the Sixties Super Models, who appeared in these ads and editorial pages and on the covers of the magazines. These faces were brands and icons to the Baby-Boomers. They may not have always known the name, but the face conveyed a sense of trust. The editors also try to credit the stylists, photographers and publications who helped create these iconic images.
MiniMadMOD60s has created these public archives for the enlightenment and enjoyment of ourselves, current younger generations and posterity. It is a dynamic ever-changing archive. As more models are rediscovered and more pictures contributed, this digital museum will continue to grow.
If you, your family member or your favorite models are missing from this archive, please contact us. We will make every effort to add your suggested model to the data base.
